Enrollment & Financial Aid
Who can join?
South Jersey Sudbury School admits students, ages 4 - 19, who desire freedom and responsibility in their education and who are willing and able to follow our rules and policies, which are voted on at School Meeting and passed by majority vote.
Students may enroll throughout the year. A discount is offered for siblings. Needs-based financial aid may be available. See our Tuition page for more information.
What's the process?
While school is in session, our enrollment process begins with a five-day Visiting Week. Successful completion of the five visiting days is a prerequisite for all transfer students (e.g. those who enroll while school is in session). Contact staff here to receive an application. Bring that with you on your child's first day along with the $295 fee. The Visiting Week is a chance for your children to experience the school for themselves and for our students and staff to get to know them a bit. At the end of your Visiting Week if everybody agrees that the school is a good fit, your child can enroll.
During summer vacation, students are automatically enrolled without a trial week if they have attended at least one school event. If you have any questions, use the contact form here.
Tuition
$11,750 for the first child;
$8,100 for second child;
$5,900 for each additional child from the same family.
Tuition is owed in total upon enrollment as a program entry fee. Monthly installment plans are available through FACTS, a Nelnet tuition management system (see below) as a courtesy to our families. FACTS charges an initial application fee and a fee for credit card charges, but not ACH payments made from your bank account. All payments outside of FACTS must be made via money order, cashier’s check, etc. There is a 3% discount for tuition balances paid in full upon enrollment.
Financial Aid
Financial aid may be available at the discretion of School Meeting on a case-by-case basis. A family's needs are determined through FACTS, which will evaluate the applying family's income and expenses and send the results to us so we can determine eligibility and make an offer .
We want to work with you to help make Sudbury affordable! Our non-profit mission is to provide a safe haven for children to play and grow; we strive to turn no one away because they can't afford tuition! However, budgetary constraints may impede our ability to award as much aid as our community requires. Contact us for details.
Click the FACTS logo below to start the application process. There is no obligation to enroll; the financial aid application can be submitted for informational purposes prior to visiting. Applications can take a week or more to process, depending on the complexity of your household finances.

Through FACTS you can apply for financial aid and/or set up an installment plan.
